The event returned to London for the first time in seven years, taking place at the Park Plaza Hotel on Westminster Bridge and welcoming a record number of delegates and exhibitors to their 16th Annual conference.
Equiniti sponsored the in-event mobile app and was delighted to promote our brand and services to more than 250 people who downloaded it. Over the course of the conference more than 55,000 separate activities were logged.
Employee Services Managing Director, Phil Ainsley spoke alongside Francis O’Mahony of BT at one of the sessions to compare US ESPPs against Global Sharesave, and how innovation and technology were used to enhance BT employees’ share plan journey.
Phil says: "As a long-time supporter of GEO we were delighted to play our part in such a successful event. The importance of driving innovation, engaging skilled practitioners and intelligent use of technology were some of the key messages I wanted to get across, and I think in sponsoring the event's app and the presentations we gave demonstrated our expertise and commitment in these areas."
Equiniti Consultant, John Heaton spoke at another of the sessions about the latest developments surrounding FATCA and CRS.
"Events like this are a great opportunity to share the wealth of experience and knowhow we have built up as a business and to hear from our peers how they are dealing with the big issues facing our industry," says John.
Over the course of three days our representatives at the Equiniti exhibitor booth spoke with many of the delegates about our services as well as catching up with some familiar faces from our client companies and the Adviser community.
At the awards ceremony on the Thursday evening, several Equiniti clients were nominated and DS Smith was the deserving winner of the Best Plan Effectiveness for its all-employee International Sharesave plan, which Equiniti launched and administers.
